The society held its annual Open Weekend over the weekend of the 14th/15th of July this year, and a very busy and successful one it was too. As well as our exhibition commemorating the end of World war One, we also had a visit from a vintage Fire Engine belonging to the Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum in Rochdale, and a vintage Leyland Tiger bus from the Museum of Transport Greater Manchester. Along with Alan from Bacup Nat. who looked great in his World War One uniform, and our usual fantastic cream teas, cakes and Grand Raffle, we even got two days of glorious sunshine this time, and that really helped to bring out the visitors. Our thanks to all involved and all the visitors who came along to support us, and if you weren't able to make it this time, please do try and come along next year, as we are sure you won't be disappointed.
Below you will find a number of images taken over the weekend:.
